500m from the apartment is the Directeur-Generaal Willemspark. It is a 19-hectare park in Knokke-Heist. It is located on the territory of the boroughs of Heist and Duinbergen.

History

The park came up where the Bosje van Heist used to be. That had arisen next to the elongated dune pan where the Chalet Suisse with a club and tennis courts had been constructed in 1909 by the S.A. Tennis de Heyst-Duinbergen. The planting that took place at the time to strengthen the dunes later gave rise to the 't bustje as the Heistians called it.
